| Customer Reviews: WOW! What an attention grabber! November 11, 2009 Edward E. Ocampo Jr. (Lytle, TX) My sons will sit and watch these stories each day without fail. They are very interesting, even for me @ 32. Our boys collect the Take Along Thomas train series and we've overheard our older (2.5yo) quoting lines from the episodes! Great to run during kids' parties too! If your kids like anything Thomas and Friends, find interest in trains, or you just wanna entertain your kids for a couple of hours, this is a MUST HAVE!
Another Great Thomas DVD August 28, 2008 Abe'sMom (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 2 year old loves this Thomas DVD, he will watch it over and over. The stories are well developed.
Maybe HIT should go to school instead of chickens. June 26, 2006 C. Shadow 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
Thomas continues its downfall with another poor DVD. The stories are bland and don't possess that great cleverness the Rev. W. Awdry had. Let's get on to the stories:
Thomas Saves the Day: 4/5
To catch a runaway train, Thomas must travel through a difficult bend he once crashed on for going too fast. A lot was explained so quickly and this story should have been two parts, separating it when Thomas crashes. Still, without that, well-written.
Don't Tell Thomas: 2/5
The engines are planning a surprise for Thomas, but in the meantime no one will talk to him. Plain and simple. Nothing worht reviewing here.
Fish: 2/5
Thomas hates fish and must pull a load of them, but as the fish get stinkier, Thomas becomes more distracted from the line. A story worth watching but the fact is Thomas spilled off the line in a horrible fashion. It looked too fake to be cute.
Halloween: 5/5
Emily and Thomas must visit the spooky smelter's yard and both are concerned of ghosts. When a "ghost" appears, Thomas and Emily both run away. This is the best story of the tape. The ghost presence is played off cleverly.
Spic and Span: 4/5
An inspector is coming to award the cleanest engine with a ribbon. Thomas and Percy want to be clean but every time they go to the washdown it is busy. Find out who wins it may surprise your child.
Chickens to School: 0/5
Unrealistic. Thomas must stop at three times to drop off separate loads but he's too tired and his driver is too dumb to notice they drop off chickens at a school. The chickens are even showed sitting in the classroom. It's not cute it's just dumb. Maybe as dumb as HIT forgetting engines have drivers.
Thomasand the Circus: 4/5
Thomas is in charge of the circus and wants to push the whole lot by himself. But as he collects more freight, he starts needing help. A smooth helping story is classic Thomas.
Extras speak for themselves. Check them out.
Buy this DVD if you can stand Michael Brandon's inappropriate voices and love Thomas. Thomas is the main character in ALL of the episodes. Help yourself to a copy, I guess.
FANTASTIC! February 8, 2006 Danielle D. Eastmond 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is one of the finest "new" Thomas features in a long time. The stories are well developed and the interactive games are fun and educational. Your little Thomas fan will love this one!
So far the best Thomas DVD due to great extra features December 30, 2005 U See B 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
What sets this Thomas DVD apart is the excellent bonus features that are well done and my child actually enjoys doing. In addition to the hour ro so of episodes you get "storybook adventure" which is a story done in computer animation with problems to solve between every scene. the problems are radomized a bit so you kid can nto just memorize everything. also included in the special features is a read along story (thomas birthday party) where the words light up when being read. at the end there is an option quiz. there is also a gallery with the major characters pictures and bios amoung a few other things.
i wish all the kid dvds had such quality interactive features. heck i would get the dvd just for the above mentioned special features.
